ABOUT NIGEL
Nigel began his trialling career in 1982 and since then he has amassed a superb record on the trial field. His first dog, Nip, was an Open trial winner and qualified to run in the Welsh National. His next dog Spot ran in BBC's 'One Man and His Dog' in 1984.
It was in 1988 that Nigel first represented Wales at the International. This was with his dog Shep who was a son of John Thomas's Don. Nigel has also represented Wales with May, Peg and Floss. Peg is perhaps his most well-known dog having qualified for the Welsh team every year between 1998 and 2004. She was also Reserve World Champion in 2005, finishing just two points out of first place, and placed 3rd (2004) and 4th (2002) in the International Supreme.
Nigel has won the Welsh National three times - first with Peg in 2002 and then with Floss in 2005 and 2010. Floss was the Reserve Welsh Champion in 2008 and a World Trial finalist, also in 2008.
